DIN EN 61000-4-21 VDE 0847-4-21:2011-12

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 61000-4-21:2011 and is identical with the International Standard IEC 61000-4-21:2011. It relates to emission and immunity test methods for electrical and electronic equipment in relation to high frequency electromagnetic fields and to the measurement of the screening effectiveness of shielding material in reverberation chambers. These chambers are divided into two types: such with stepped rotating and such with continuously rotated tuner/stirrer. Latter change the electromagnetic field environment that is produced in the chamber and consists of several modes. The result is a field that is statistically uniform and statistically isotropic. In relation to the previous edition the term 'calibration' was changed into 'validation', an annex concerning the treatment of the measurement uncertainty was added etc.
