The standard describes the state of the art of pet cremation systems, measures for avoiding and reducing harmful effects on the environment as well as safety-related aspects. In addition it provides exact instructions for measuring the emission values. Apart from the environmental requirements of pet cremation systems the standard also takes veterinary aspects into consideration. For the benefit of pet owners the standard makes a distinction to rendering plants. It is a working tool for property owners, operators, planners, executing companies, animal undertakers, manufacturers, recipients of funeral accessories, monitoring institutes and authorities.
